The OCR really works, but like any other optical character recognition program requires some clean up. I don't print pictures (that's why we have Walgreens, Sam's Club, etc.) so slightly lower quality non OEM ink will do fine. Third party ink is widely available and will save a bundle over time. The unit looks great and has a handy flip up to use and down to hide control module. It is a luxury have a photo copier, instead of using the cumbersome scan/save/insert/print process I used when I had a separate scanner and printer. It is nice to be able to print from my laptop from the patio. Now I don't have to turn my computer on so others can can print from the other room. I love the wireless function, which was easy to set up.
Pros: The Canon Pixma MP560 is inexpensive considering all of its features, and so far has worked flawlessly.
